A world premiere production based on the non fiction work All the Shah's Men by Stephen Kinzer. The play looks at the 1953 CIA-led coup that overthrew the democratically elected Prime Minister, Mohammed Mossadegh, and consolidated power in Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, The Shah of Iran. It explores the question of what motivates a group of people to do something that is a blatant act of injustice.

"Throughout the development and run of All the Shah's Men, Vickie Rozell personified the meaning of an actor’s director. She tirelessly provided me with direction in character areas I felt vulnerable. Vickie was also open and sensitive to cultural issues I raised. Her sensitivity is a main force for the play’s nuanced and balanced display of the roots of US-Iran conflict. In short, Vickie was the bridge for my cultural ideas and the guide for my character development. It was an honor working with her. " --actor Farshad Farahat

"Vickie Rozell is an incredible director -- she is insightful, generous with the actors, and above all, she makes the plays she directs better. Every playwright should be so fortunate as to have their new play directed by Vickie."--Playwright Matthew Spangler
"Vickie Rozell directs a production at the tiny Royce Gallery that has all the suspenseful intrigue, white-knuckled pace, and plethora of known and never-heard-of characters one might expect to find on a big screen, Hollywood production – all accomplished with a talented, multi-faceted cast of five in a space barely the size of a small living room." --Theatre Eddys
